As an individual that used to go through the days managing worries, headaches, self care, and stress, all while having a day job and managing children, I didn't know how much nutrition, my worries, and my stress affected me every day. I definitely understand the daily struggle of trying to be present for work, family, and other activities. You feel like… - if I can just shove this food down, I will feel better, - if I ignore my headache, it will go away, - if my thoughts continue to beat me up, then I will get more done, - if I stop now, then nothing will get taken care of. By the end of the day, energy is low, my worries are loud, and feel heavy. When you finally get to bed, you are so ready to sleep, but thoughts are rapid, that sleep is so rough! Would you like to have kinder, quieter thoughts, eat foods that make you feel good, and feel less stress, so that you can go do the things you want to do, be present for your family and friends, and take care of YOU!!?? You will learn tips, tricks, and tools to alter these themes and behaviors, so that you can feel more energized, nurtured, and rested. In the 6th grade, my mom took me to soup kitchens and senior homes to volunteer, and I found herself in awe of peoples' strength. From then on, I knew exactly what I wanted to do...help others! I have been licensed since 2014 and have worked in various capacities, including group homes, outpatient, dual diagnosis treatment centers, family's homes, transitional age youth programs, and currently, my private practice.
